About Erica
My name is Erica Nolasco, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (license #107651) practicing in my hometown of Santa Barbara, CA. My passion is helping children, adolescents and families overcome trauma, divorce, depression, anxiety, self-doubt and addiction. I welcome individuals and families to a safe nonjudgmental space with the goal of providing each client long lasting healing, personal growth and happiness.
I work with my clients to learn the skills needed to live happy fulfilling lives. Together we will find inner-peace, strength, and the ability to form healthy meaningful relationships by confronting the past and gaining tools to conquer the future. I offer a holistic approach, this puts the client and their individual needs at the center of their treatment plan, while honoring the whole body; physically, emotionally and mentally. My trainings and certifications include; Art and Play Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I have completed additional training in Equity and Equality, Substance Dependency, Screen Dependency, Child Abuse and Crisis Intervention.
My therapeutic approach incorporates traditional talk therapy techniques complemented by therapeutic activities such as art, play, mindfulness exercises and music.
My Master’s degree in Social Work is from California State University, Northridge. This has led me to 15 years of experience working in Government, schools and community based organizations, providing case management and therapeutic services to children, families and individuals. My life experiences, education and passion are used in each of my therapeutic relationships to foster Empathy, Empowerment and Equality.
